1 dead and 8 critical as taxi falls into gorge in Sikkim
One person was killed and eight others were seriously injured after a taxi fell into a 150-metre deep gorge in Sikkim on Wednesday.
The accident took place at Piple in West Sikkim when a Siliguri-bound taxi was coming from Pelling, a police official said.

The deceased has been identified as a woman from West Sikkim, while four of the eight passengers seriously injured are tourists from West Bengal, he said, adding that they are undergoing treatment.
He said that prima facie it appears that the accident happened due to over speeding.
