
2000 more 4G mobile towers to be built in Arunachal Pradesh
The central government plans to install another 2,000 4G mobile phone towers in Arunachal Pradesh to improve connectivity.
The center approved the installation of 980 4G mobile towers in Arunachal Pradesh.
An important meeting was recently held between the Center and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh to discuss this matter.

The meeting discussed the installation of 2,000 additional 4G mobile towers in Arunachal Pradesh.
The meeting was attended by Union Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Arunachal Pradesh Information Technology Minister Wangki Lovang and MP Tapir Gao.
The center plans to install 4G towers in Arunachal Pradesh to improve communications in the state given the state’s strategic location.
The government has already approved 980 4G mobile towers for the state and the project is being implemented by Bharti Hexacom Ltd.
The center is working to ensure maximum connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh given its strategic importance, Vaishnow said at the meeting, according to officials.
The minister assured that the expansion of the State Wide Area Network (SWAN) would be approved and said that the low capacity of the VSAT projects implemented under BharatNet in Arunachal Pradesh would be reviewed by the Department of Space.

The Vaishnav also informed the meeting participants that a special rate for e-office licensing would be developed for the northeastern states.
