22 Ranchi students injured after bus overturns in Sikkim
22 college students from Ranchi were injured when a bus overturned in East Sikkim on Tuesday.
He said that the students of St. Xavier’s College in Ranchi, Jharkhand were on a tour of Sikkim.
Police said that when they were returning to Siliguri in West Bengal on their way to Ranchi, their bus overturned on the 7th mile of Ranipool police station area.

The injured students have been admitted to the Central Referral Hospital (CRH) in Tadong, he said.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that he has directed the officials to make arrangements to bring the students back by air.
Soren tweeted, “At present we are not able to airlift the children due to bad weather there. Arrangements have been made for their proper treatment there.”
Soren said he has spoken to Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang to ensure proper treatment to the injured students.

Jharkhand Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto said that the government is considering all options for treatment and safe return of the students.
Former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi also appealed to the Sikkim government to ensure support to the students.
St Xavier’s College officials said they had learned that the accident happened after the brakes of the bus failed.
