Shillong: Meghalaya on Saturday reported 406 new COVID-19 cases and one death in the East Khasi Hills (EKH).
Meanwhile, the state has recorded 185 newly recovered cases in the last 24 hours. With that, the total number of cures stands at 84,643.
The Department of Health said in a bulletin that the number of active cases had risen to 2,002.
The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 infection so far is 1,496.
The Eastern Khasi Hills have the highest number of active cases with 1,377. There are 30 cases in West Khasi Hills, 13 in East Garo Hills, 277 in West Garo Hills, 125 in Ri-Voi, 63 in West Jaintia Hills, 39 in East Jaintia Hills and 16 in South West Khasi Hills. There are 17 cases in South Garo Hills, 12 in North Garo Hills, 18 in East West Khasi Hills and 15 in South West Garo Hills.

406 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in East Khasi Hills (304), East West Khasi Hills (three), East Jaintia Hills (three), Ri-Voi (16), South Garo Hills (two), South Huh. . West Khasi Hills (one), West Jaintia Hills (14), West Garo Hills (56), North Garo Hills (one) and West Khasi Hills (six).
The 165 cases recovered are East Khasi Hills (143), East West Khasi Hills (four), Ri-Bhoi (14), South West Khasi Hills (one), West Garo Hills (22) and West Khasi Hills (one).
