Kyiv said Saturday that about 60 Russian soldiers were killed in long-range Ukrainian artillery fire.

In a Facebook post, a military chief said Russia suffered losses on Thursday when Ukrainian forces shelled the town of Mikhail Kva, 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Kherson. Russian troops abandoned the city earlier this month.
No further details were given. The Russian Defense Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment, and Reuters was unable to independently verify the Ukrainian military’s account.
