
7 Army personnel missing after being hit by avalanche in Kameng sector of Arunachal
Seven army personnel of a patrol party have gone missing after they were hit by an avalanche in Arunachal Pradesh‘s Kameng sector, which borders China in the north.
A defense public relations official said the incident happened on Sunday and special personnel have been sent to the high altitude area to assist in the search and rescue operation.
Arunachal CM Pema Khandu in a tweet said, “Praying for the safety of Army personnel who were hit by avalanche in Arunachal and hope they are rescued at the earliest. Indian Army has always stood by us in difficulties. We sincerely pray that there is no harm to our brave jawans. ,
The army said inclement weather with heavy snowfall has been reported in the region for the past several days.

The Border Roads Organization, which is engaged in the work of road construction in the border state, has been tweeting since Saturday that it is snowing in Arunachal Pradesh as before.
