A man from Tripura has killed his family, police with a shovel

According to officials, the incident took place late Friday night, when accused Pradeep Deboray attacked his daughter Aditi (one) and Mandira (seven) with a shovel “worthy of aggression”.

Pradeep then came out of his house and started attacking anyone who came forward, Kumar said. “A Krishna slave who was passing by Devaraya’s house with his son Karanbir got angry,” he said.

Kumar said Das, 54, died on the spot, his son Karanbir, 22, was injured and was being treated at GBP Hospital.

Upon hearing the news, a police team led by Inspector Satyajit Malik reached the spot and attacked him. Police took Pradeep into custody, while Malik was taken to the district hospital, officials said.

He was referred to GBP Hospital, where he died of severe anemia, officials said.

The case has been registered under Sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempted murder), 326 (voluntarily inflicting serious injury with dangerous weapon or means), 333 (voluntarily inflicting serious injury on a government employee while performing his duty) and other relevant sections. . The accused was produced in court on Saturday and has no criminal record, officials said.
