Arunachal Pradesh will soon be connected to 4G mobile connection: Pema Khandu
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said that the country has moved away from its earlier policy of discouraging development along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and areas near the international border in Arunachal Pradesh will soon be connected to 4G mobile connection.
Khandu has completed his 3-day visit to Nacho constituency in Upper Subansiri district.
During his public meetings in Tuxing, Galemo and Nacho, the chief minister said the visit was part of his extensive visit to Arunachal to reach out to people living outside the district headquarters, especially in remote areas and near the international border.
The purpose of the visit, which began last November, is to learn about the living conditions of people in remote areas and their expectations from the central and state governments.
Emphasizing on the development of border areas, the Chief Minister said that the country has moved away from its earlier policy of discouraging development along the LAC. The government is now focusing on accelerating the development of border areas by building roads and other important infrastructure. Due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aggressive approach, the roads have reached Takshing and other remote border areas of Arunachal Pradesh which were not thought of before. He further said that areas near the international border of Arunachal will soon be connected with 4G mobile connection.

Highlighting the importance of the presence of civilian population in the border areas, the Chief Minister said that they would be able to move freely and carry out activities for livelihood along the LAC, which would help in resisting the demands of enemies on our territory. He said human activities such as yak rearing, tourism and pilgrimage are being developed along the Tawang border, which helps maintain surveillance along the LAC. Underlining the importance of civilian-military union, the Chief Minister said that both of us should always be together to protect our international borders. In order to build harmony, he emphasized the importance of joint celebration of important festivals and ceremonies by the public and the defense forces.
The Chief Minister said that after personally inspecting the road condition in Nacho and Majha sectors from Tuxing, he promised to talk to the Center to improve the road infrastructure. The Chief Minister also promised a haidel in Tuxing, road connectivity with villages in the inner part of the Tuxing circle, improvement of existing helipad in Nacho, a new common ground in Nacho and speeding up road communication between Limking and Pipsoranga.
