Assam cabinet decides to include 89 revenue villages in Sissi Tangani tribal area of Dhemaji district
The Assam Cabinet has decided that a total of 4,80,249 on-grid households will be electrified -4,09,050 households in on-grid mode.
Guwahati: The Himanta Bishwa Sarma-led Assam government has launched some ambitious schemes to accelerate development in the rural areas of the state.
At the state cabinet meeting on Tuesday, it was decided to include 89 revenue villages in the CC Tangani tribal area of Dhemaji district.
Further, sharing the cabinet decisions on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma wrote: “Weekly in the Assam cabinet, we discussed a number of key issues related to improving power situation, release of funds for MOITRI, implementation. Decisions were taken. Wages. ”

As per the decision of the Cabinet, the Department of Faith and Culture, Indigenous and Tribal Faith and Culture, Assam and its subordinate offices will be created.
The Assam Cabinet has reviewed the previous decision of the Cabinet to close Fair Price (FP) shops with NFSA ration cards of 50 or less, but to allow widows and specially able FP shop owners to continue their activities.
The cabinet has decided to install 1,000,000 distribution transformers and pre0 pre-fabricated compact sub-stations (PCSS).
It was also decided that 11 power transformers would be procured and installed, and 4,200 damaged distribution transformers would be repaired at a cost of Rs 2250.08 crore to improve the voltage and reduce the loss of power distribution.
The Assam Cabinet has decided that a total of 4,80,249 on-electrified households will be electrified at a cost of Rs 21,718.18 crore – 4,09,050 households in on-grid mode and 71,199 households in off-grid mode.
The cabinet also approved electrification of 48,231 Anganwari centers and 13,120 primary schools with a financial contribution of Rs 2,161.42 crore.
The cabinet approved the implementation of a smart metering project to install 6,20,100 smart meters to improve the billing process and energy calculation, thereby reducing commercial losses.

In 2021-22, under the overall reform mission of the Thana for Responsive Image (MOITRI) scheme, a proposal for a grant of Tk 2120.00 crore as a grant to the Maitri Society has been approved.
Administrative approval has been given for project preparation and implementation estimates for the Assam Secondary Road Network Improvement Project (ASRIP) with the assistance of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
The Orang Tiger Conservation Foundation Trust will be formed under Section 38 (X) of the Wildlife Conservation Act, 1972 to support the management and conservation of tigers and biodiversity in the Orang Tiger Reserve.
The PCCF will complete the registration of the Wildlife Trust.
It was decided that the Department of Tea Wages Labor would investigate the possibility of excluding the wages of tea garden workers from the national level floor wage, as envisaged in the Wage Code, 201 in.
