Assam Police ranks third in the country in IPF’s Smart Policing Index
Assam Police ranks third in the country in the overall rating of Public Perception and Citizen Satisfaction Index in a 2021 survey conducted by the Indian Police Foundation (IPF).
Based on the underlying philosophy of the Prime Minister’s concept of smart policing, the IPF survey used six skill-based levels and three value-based confidence levels.

The survey report further states, “Despite attacks for inadequate sensitivities, public confidence loss and growing concern about the quality of policing, most citizens (average 66.93% by weight) believe that the police are doing their job well and strongly support the police.”
According to the individual indicators for the six skill-based levels, Assam Police ranks third in “Police Sensitivity Perception Index”, “Hard and Good Behavior Perception Index”, “Accessibility Perception Index”, and “Perception Index”.
