Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Candidates should be citizens of India, permanent residents of Assam. Selected candidates are required to submit proof of residence after publication of the final select list.
Local Language Skills: Candidates should be fluent in Assamese or any other State Language.
Age Limit:
Assam Commando Battalions: Candidate age must be between 18 to 25 years as on 1st July 2022.
Assam Police, DGCD & CGHG and F & ES: Candidate age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 1st July 2022.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
# SC, ST (P) and ST(H): 5 years
# OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed minimum Class VIII from a recognized school or institution and the maximum qualification should be HSSLC or Class XII from a recognized board or council.
Physical Standard
Candidates must meet the following physical standard requirements in terms of height, chest and weight.

Weight: The weight of the candidate should be commensurate with height and age as per medical standards.
Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit and have positive qualifications for the job.
Medical Standards
Candidates must maintain following medical standard.
General: Candidates should not have blinking eyes, and should have high color vision. Varicose veins would be considered a temporary disqualification. He/she must be in good mental and physical health. He / she must be free from any physical deformity and must be free from diabetes, hernia, pile, respiratory disease or any other disease which is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.
Eyesight: Far vision should be at least 6/6 in one eye and no worse than 6/9 for the other eye. NIA vision should be normal.

- Certificate of proof of age. (Admit Card /Certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination) for the candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent examination.
- Pass Certificate of HSLC or equivalent examination for the candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent examination.
- Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority who have not appeared in HSLC/Matriculation.
- Class VIII Passed Certificate for the candidates who have not appeared in HSLC/Matriculation.
- Certificate of addition essential qualification /requirement as applicable.
- Certificate of Caste from Competent Authority.
- Passport Size Photograph.
- Signature.
