Temperature is likely to drop to 11 degrees in Guwahati on December 30-31

GUWAHATI: Guwahati – the capital of Assam and the gateway to the Northeast – seems to be getting ready to welcome the new year.

The temperature in Assam’s capital Guwahati is likely to drop further and touch the 11 degree mark on December 30-31.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati, Assam, the minimum temperature in the city is likely to drop to 11 degrees Celsius in the next few days.

The maximum temperature in Guwahati city of Assam is likely to be around 24 degree Celsius.

The MeT department has predicted fog, mist and cloudy sky during the next few days.

There is a possibility of severe cold in Guwahati, Assam on January 1. However, the minimum temperature is likely to increase by up to 12 degree Celsius.

Assam has been hit by cold wave, with most parts of the state recording minimum temperatures of around 13-14 degree Celsius during the last one week.
