Union Minister Kiren Rijiju wrote on Twitter, “China’s PLA has handed over the young boy from Arunachal Pradesh Mr. Miram Taron to the Indian Army.”

A teenager from Arunachal Pradesh, who went missing along the Line of Actual Control with China, has been handed over to the Indian Army, Union Minister Kirena Rijijurecorded on Twitter today.

The minister on Tuesday said the boy’s safe return is a priority and called upon people to be careful about him.

The teenager went missing in an area near the LAC, and the Indian Army immediately turned to China on 19 January to help locate and return the teenager if the PLA took her into custody.

An eyewitness, Johnny Jing, who accompanied Mr. Taron that day, said, “I went hunting with Miriam in Siangala, but we could not proceed because of the darkness. Suddenly, the Chinese PLA arrived and ordered Miriam to go hunting. Captured. They chased me away, but I managed to escape. I informed the nearest Indian Army post about the kidnapping. The next day I returned to Tuting and informed the Maryam family and the Indian Army camp in Tuting.”
