Another construction worker rescued in Arunachal Pradesh forest, 10 still missing
Another construction worker, who went missing last week, was rescued on Saturday evening in a forest near the Furak river in Arunachal Pradesh’s Kurung Kume district.
Earlier in the day, seven of the 19 laborers who went missing in Arunachal Pradesh were rescued.
According to District Commissioner Kurung Kume Koloriang, Nighi Bengia, the rescued laborer was found to be in a very critical condition and was thus taken to the District Hospital Koloriang along with two other rescued labourers.

Five of the eight people were airlifted by an Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter and then taken to Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) in Naharlagun town of Assam, as their condition was critical and they had to undergo medical treatment. was required.
The IAF helicopter carried out a search and rescue operation for several hours, but could not succeed due to bad weather.
According to a statement issued by the rescued laborers, four people died on the way and two others fell into the river. However, the rescue teams did not find any bodies and the teams would continue the search till all the 19 construction workers were rescued or recovered.
Meanwhile, teams of SDRF, local police and local rescue teams are camping in Damin under the constant supervision of Superintendent of Police (SP) Kurung Kume district and the District Commissioner is monitoring the search and rescue operation.

All 19 have been missing from the project site since July 5 and the body of a laborer was found in a nearby river.
“They were BRO labourers. Generally laborers from Assam and other parts of the country are not used to living in hilly areas, so they (19 labourers) may have fled, but a dead body was found. Police are trying to establish whether it belongs to that group or is a separate matter,” said BJP MP Tapir Gao.

Damin is about 130 km from Koloriang and the construction site is 15 km from Damin. Officials said the LAC with China is about 80 km from Damin, the last administrative circle in that region.
