Father of Pakistans nuclear weapons program AQ Khan dies
AQ Khan breathed his last at around 7.00 am (local time) at Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) Hospital, Islamabad.
AQ Khan, known as the father of Pakistan’s nuclear program, died on Sunday after a brief illness. He was 85 years old.
Khan breathed his last at around 7.00 am (local time) on the Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) Hospital in Islamabad.
Geo News reported that he was brought to the hospital within the morning due to issue in breathing.
Defense Minister Pervez Khattak mentioned he was “deeply saddened” at his death and referred to as it a “huge loss”.
“Pakistan will always respect his services to the nation! The nation is deeply indebted to him for his contribution in enhancing our defense capabilities,” he mentioned.
