Fox News cameraman killed in Ukraine second journalist to lose life in 3 days
Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakarzevsky was killed and his colleague Benjamin Hall was injured when a car they were traveling in caught fire in Horenka, just outside the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
A video journalist working for the American television channel Fox News has been killed outside Kiev, the second journalist to die in fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces since the 20th day.
Fox News cameraman Pierre Zakarzevsky was killed and his colleague Benjamin Hall was injured when the car they were traveling in was hit by an oncoming fire in Horenka, just outside the Ukrainian capital Kiev. Hall is currently being treated at a hospital in Ukraine.
Suzanne Scott, CEO of Fox News Media, said in a statement to the AFP news agency that Zakarzevsky was killed and his colleague Benjamin Hall was injured when their car caught fire in Horenka outside the capital on Monday.

“Pierre was a war zone photographer who covered almost every international story on Fox News from Iraq to Afghanistan to Syria during his long career with us,” Scott said. “Her passion and talent as a journalist were unmatched,” Fox News Media CEO Susan Scott said in a statement.
Zacharzewski, based in London, has been working in Ukraine since February.
Fox News correspondent shared a picture of him with the trainer Zacharyzevsky. “I don’t know what to say. Pierre was as good as they came. Selfless. Brave. Passionate. I’m so sorry it happened to you,” he posted.

Zacharzevsky’s assassination comes days after another American journalist was shot dead in the satellite city of Irpin, near Kiev. Brent Rand and a fellow journalist were traveling in a car that was attacked after crossing a Ukrainian-controlled checkpoint.
The New York Times paid tribute to Renad in a tweet, but maintained that the slain journalist was not on assignment duty in Ukraine. The International Federation of Journalists has identified the injured journalist as American photographer Juan Aredondo.
Fighting continues between the two countries in the fourth round of talks, which resumed on Tuesday.
