Assistant professor burnt alive in traumatic car accident

Shillong: 37-year-old assistant professor going from Tura to Shillong died in a tragic accident on Saturday when his car caught fire.
The assistant professor, identified as Ferdinand B Lyngdoh, was the youngest son of former Meghalaya Chief Minister Late E K Mawlong and brother of Congress MLA George Lyngdoh.
Based on the information, the Bolero vehicle in which Lyngdoh was touring all of a sudden engulfed in flames in Umden village.
Preliminary reports indicate that there could have been a technical brief circuit with the vehicle’s air conditioner or a leaking fuel pipe, inflicting the fire to spread quickly inside the vehicle, killing the professor.
Lyngdoh was the Assistant Professor in charge of the Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities at the College of Community Science in Sangsanggre, Tura.
