
Kiren Rijiju, MP from Arunachal Pradesh said that folk songs and dance are the essence of every community within the state.
Kazalang: Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday met residents of a village in Arunachal Pradesh to review the progress of a project. Reacting to the video, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Mr Rijiju “a decent dancer”.
The local Sajolang folks of Kazalang village in the northeastern state, also known as Miji, welcomed the minister with their traditional song and dance.
Wearing a shirt, trousers and sneakers, Mr Rijiju could be seen collaborating within the enjoyable by shaking a leg with the villagers. Amidst the beat of cymbals and drums, the minister danced to conventional people songs and a small crowd applauded.
“During my visit to the beautiful Kazalang village to oversee the Vivekananda Kendra school tasks. It’s the traditional enjoyable of the Sajolang people whenever visitors go to their villages. Native folk songs and dances are the essence of every community in Arunachal Pradesh,” Mr. Rijiju has written on Koo.

Mr. Rijiju, who is an MP from Arunachal West constituency, is sort of active on social media. From videos related to health and fitness to glimpses of his singing prowess, Mr Rijiju shares all of it with his followers.
Just a few days again, he uploaded a clip in which he sang an iconic Kishore Kumar tune “to cheer up the younger and good Arunachal Civil Service officers” on completing his customized training programme.
The Miji community mainly lives near the lower parts of the Himalayan hills in the West and East Kameng districts of Arunachal Pradesh. The word Miji is made up of two words – Mai meaning fireplace and Ji that means giver.
