In Balochistan security forces killed 15 terrorists in separate operations
Security forces on Saturday killed 15 militants linked to a banned separatist group in two separate raids in Balochistan province.
A spokesman for the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) said nine terrorists from various banned groups had been killed in the Mastung area of Balochistan and a large quantity of arms and ammunition had been seized from them.
In another search operation in Harnai district of the province, security forces shot dead six terrorists, including a Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) commander.
A spokesman for the CTD said the nine terrorists killed were members of the BLA, the Baloch Liberation Front and the United Baloch Army and were hiding in the mountainous area of Mastung, Roshi.
During the operation, nine sub-machine guns (35050 rounds), 20 kg of explosives, detonators, a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) and two shells were found.
“These terrorists were planning a terrorist attack in Quetta after receiving training in Roshni. The police force also destroyed the training camp,” he said.
The BLA and the Baloch Liberation Front have claimed responsibility for several terrorist attacks on security forces, police and security installations in the province in recent months.
The CTD officer claimed that the terrorists were killed after firing on the raiding police team on the basis of intelligence reports.
The Army’s Media Affairs Wing (ISPR) said on Saturday that six militants, including BLA commander Tariq alias Nasir, had been killed in another search operation by security forces in an area near Harnai.
It said the terrorists were killed in their dormitory in Jamboro, Harnai.
The militants are working with outside forces to spread unrest and disrupt peace in the province, ISPR said.

The ISPR statement said, “When the security forces surrounded the target dormitory, the terrorists opened fire as they tried to flee the area, but after the heavy firing, six terrorists, including BLA commander Tariq alias Nasir, were killed.” Said.
It added that a large quantity of arms and ammunition had been recovered from Astana.
In another intelligence-led search operation last month, security forces killed 10 terrorists in the South Waziristan tribal district. On September 26, security forces also killed a commander of the terrorist Islamic State (IS) group in an operation in Mastung district.
Earlier on August 30, 11 suspected IS terrorists were killed in an encounter with CTD personnel in Mastung.
