
Indian Air Force helicopter crashes in Arunachal pilot and crew safe
The helicopter was flying over the area when the incident happened in eastern Arunachal Pradesh.
Mi-17 helicopter of the Indian Air Force with two pilots and three crew members crashed in eastern Arunachal Pradesh. These are all safe.
However, one engineer suffered minor injuries.
The helicopter was flying from Hualiang to Rochham for maintenance when the incident took place. Sources said a court of inquiry would be ordered to ascertain the cause of the incident.
Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel carried out rescue operation from Rochham post.
In September, two pilots were killed when an Army helicopter crashed on a hill in Shiv Garh Dhar area, near Patnitop tourist destination in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district.
On 3 August, two pilots were killed when an army helicopter crashed in the Ranjit Sagar Dam lake near Pathankot.
