Leopard havoc in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district
At least five people were injured and pets were killed by a leopard recently in Kherem Kachari village under Bordumsa circle of Changlang district.
In two separate incidents recently, at least five people were injured and pets were killed by a leopard in Kheram Kachari village under Bordumsa circle of Changlang district.
On Wednesday, while going to the field, the leopard attacked him from behind, injuring one person. However, the man managed to escape from the spot and the leopard disappeared into the bushes.

After getting the information, the team of administration and forest officials swung into action and reached the spot with a cage to trap the leopard.

Hundreds of villagers also surrounded the area for the leopard to be pacified at the earliest.
Answering a question, the DFO of Jairampur division, who was present on the spot, said that an expert has been called from Assam to catch the leopard.
“We do not have a tranquilizer yet, though we have submitted a request to the higher authority to provide a tranquilizer,” the DFO said.
