Missile attack on Odessa apartment building kills 10 people
Local officials announced Friday morning that a missile attack on an apartment in the Odessa region of southern Ukraine killed 10 people.
Sergei Bratchuk, a spokesman for the Odessa military administration, said the death toll from a missile attack on the apartment was as high as 10.
He said the missile attack came from a “black sea tactical aircraft,” referring to the Ukrainian Army’s Southern Operations Command.

According to the military, one missile collided with a nine-story house and another collided with a recreation center.
“In the building of the apartment, the 9th floor of a parcel was completely destroyed. Rescue teams have already treated 7 injured people, including 3 children.”
A missile attack on a residential building occurs days after a Russian strike destroyed a shopping center in Kremenchuk, central Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has denied responsibility for the Moscow army.

The southern region of Odessa is a strategic ignition point as it is home to the historic port city of Ukraine of the same name.
On Thursday, Russian troops abandoned their position on Snake Island off Odessa. This became a symbol of Ukrainian resistance in the first few days of the war.
