Intelligence sources said that these terrorists were caught before the Myanmar military coup a year ago. He was arrested during Operation Sunrise, which was carried out by the Myanmar Army against Northeast Indian insurgent groups who have bases in the Sagaing area. All five were picked up from Moniva.
The handover comes within a month of the deadly joint ambush by the PLA and the Manipur Naga People’s Front in Manipur’s Churachandpur district on November 13, where four Assam Rifles personnel were killed along with Colonel Biplab Tripathi, his wife and their 9-year-old child. were go.
