Nagaland’s five districts say they will boycott all national celebrations
Tribesmen in five eastern districts of Nagaland on Wednesday declared “complete non-cooperation” with the armed forces, including a local ban on army recruitment and a boycott of “all national gatherings” in protest of the killing of 14 Konyak villagers on Monday. The Eastern Naga People’s Organization (ENPO), which represents Konak, Foms, Chang, Khiamniungan’s, Imchungas and Sangtam, said the victims in Oting village would not return to parliament until justice was done and Home Minister Amit Shah returned to parliament.
