In a hugely successful operation against anti-national activities, Aizawl Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East) arrested National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) President Jacob Harangkhawal (55). According to a press release, the operation was carried out jointly by Aizawl Battalion and Aizawl Police based on specific intelligence inputs. The houses were searched and the soldiers found and captured Jacob Harangkhal.
Meanwhile, Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General of Assam Rifles (East) delivered a lecture on ‘Awareness on National Flag’ at Laki village on Wednesday.
Stating that a total of 20 local residents attended the lecture, another press release said that the objective of the lecture was to spread awareness among the local people about the national flag which represents the ideas, values and qualities of the citizens and the nation.
