Paresh Rawal praised Amitabh Bachchan for repaying Rs 90 crore to all creditors

In a recent interview, Paresh Rawal recalled Big B’s situation and heaped praise on him. In an interview on Nilesh Mishra’s show, Rawal shared an incident where Bachchan was asked if he had confided in his family.

In 1999, Amitabh Bachchan’s production house (ABCL) suffered huge losses which put the legend under debt of Rs 90 crore. Even as an actor, he saw a dull period in his career and did not get enough work.

That was when he rejuvenated himself and bounced back with ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and Aditya Chopra’s ‘Mohabbatein’.

Paresh Rawal shared, “You can learn a lot from him, especially about dignity. I remember asking him about it once. I asked him if he confided in his family when things got very tough. And he said, ‘Why? give.” They live their lives.’

See, he owed people so much money, but he never spoke ill of anyone. Not once. He could have hidden behind the law, he could have been exempt, but he chose to give back to each person. These are his values. He is Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s son, after all What a man.”

Amitabh Bachchan had earlier shared that the pawnbroker landed on his doorstep and hurled abuse. This was the darkest moment of his career.
