Pathaan box office collection day 2 Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s film earns Rs 70 crore on Republic Day
‘Pathan’ has opened well on the Republic Day holiday and has paid off positively with the cash registers roaring at the box office.
Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer ‘Pathan‘ continues to thrive at the box office and how! After registering a tremendous weekend collection of Rs 100 crore worldwide on Day 1, the film registered a massive growth on Day 2.
The film has collected a total of Rs 70 crore on the second day in Hindi language. The development of ‘Pathan’ has been historic and the craze for the film is leading to huge footfalls at the theatres. As per the BoxofficeIndia report, the two-day total business of ‘Pathan’ now stands at Rs 125 crore.

The film has matched the dubbed versions of ‘KGF 2’ and ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ in two days. Down south, ‘Pathan’ collected Rs 1.22 crore nett from Kerala circuit, while Nizam/Andhra and Mysore markets have also contributed positively to the total.
Before its release, ‘Pathan’ was embroiled in a huge controversy over its song ‘Besharam Rang’, in which many people objected to Deepika’s saffron bikini.
Complimenting the actress’ dashing dance moves in the song, Shah Rukh had said, “You need someone of Deepika’s stature to perform a song sequence like Besharam Rang and then you know, to be able to do action.” , where she takes a guy and pulls him over and beats him up, hard enough to even do that.
Such a combination could only be achieved with someone like Deepika. Suffice it to say that this is quite a layered character for an action movie heroine.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Pathan’ features John Abraham as the antagonist, with Deepika and SRK acting as spy agents. Salman Khan’s cameo as Tiger in the film is also being widely appreciated by the fans.
