Petrol price in Meghalaya today is just 9 paise less than Rs 100 per litre. The opposition Congress said the hike in fuel prices was pushing up the prices of essential commodities.
Senior Congress leader Amparin Lyngdoh said, “What is more shocking is that the state government has refused to acknowledge the impact of this hike on the common man.”
He claimed that the price of LPG has also reached an all-time high of Rs 1,000 in some areas.
