The US decision to increase military aid to Ukraine “increased the risk of direct military conflict” between Russia and the West, Moscow warned.
Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said it was an “imminent threat” to Moscow and that the United States was a “partner in the conflict”.
Earlier, the US announced another $625 million (£547 million) in military aid to Ukraine.

However, Russia does not have full control of any area, and Ukrainian forces have been advancing rapidly in the Kherson area in recent days.
Antonov’s warning came shortly after US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris discussed further military cooperation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
