Russian missiles destroy Ukrainian shopping center
Russia said on Monday it had hit a shopping center in Kiev with a high-precision long-range weapon as Ukrainian forces used it as a rocket store and reloading station.
A Kyiv shopping center was attacked late Sunday night, killing at least eight people, vandalizing nearby buildings and leaving piles of rubble and wreckage of burnt cars several hundred meters wide.

“The area around the shopping center was used as a large base for storing rocket weapons and reloading several rocket launchers,” Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov told reporters.
“High-precision long-range weapons destroyed the batteries of multiple rocket launchers in Ukraine on the night of March 21 and an ammunition store in a derelict shopping center,” he said.
Konashenkov showed a video in which he said Ukraine was using the shopping center as a weapons store and reloading station.

Ukraine has said it is fighting for its existence against Russia’s imperialist occupation of land and that Putin’s claims of genocide are rubbish.

“We would like to remind the Western media again: we have used civilian objects as artillery and rocket systems in Kiev’s residential areas and in other cities as firing positions in the Kiev nationalist regime,” Konashenkov said.
Konashenkov said the Russian operation was being conducted by a professional and well-equipped force, and denied Ukraine’s claim that Russian forces had hit any civilian objects.
He called Ukraine’s claims about the loss of Russian workers and equipment “propaganda lies.”
