
Satellite photos show damage to Russian artillery in Ukraine, a 40-metre crater
High-resolution images collected by Maxer Technologies over a 24-hour period on Monday show damaged buildings.
A fierce battle is raging in eastern Donbass, Ukraine, with the latest satellite images showing the extent of the devastation caused by the relentless and relentless Russian artillery. The Kremlin focused its attacks and operations on Severodnetsk, still the largest Ukrainian-controlled city in the Luhansk region of Donbass.
High-resolution images collected by Maxer Technologies on Monday within 24 hours show buildings damaged by artillery fire around the city of Severodnetsk and a hospital. From a hole in the roof to the cremation building, photographs show how the area was devastated by the constant shelling.

Severodonetsk, an industrial hub, is key to Russia’s plan, as its collapse will open the way to Donetsk’s main city, Kramatorsk. At least 50 percent of Severodnetsk is said to be under Russian control, although Ukrainian forces are fighting back.
In Rubyjan, just 20 minutes from Severodnetsk, Russia’s aggressive influence can be seen in the picture, which is just one day apart.
Although the first image – before the attack – shows the buildings intact, the second image, published by Maxer, contains almost complete destruction.
Where buildings used to stand just 2 hours ago, now there are only ruins.
The Russian military is using several rocket launchers or MRLs to carry out the attack. Located about 11 kilometers northeast of Severodnetsk, MRL can be seen in the green field towards Severodnetsk with their rocket pods. Scorched marks on the ground behind the MRL are a clear indication of recent shooting activity.

Smoke rises into the air, with at least seven artillery shelling around the town of Dolina in southwestern Ukraine. Heavy shelling can be seen in satellite images northwest of the Sivarsky Donets River and the town of Bogorodichen, Silvinsk.
