Scary video shows firebombs raining in Donetsk, Ukraine
It is unclear who was responsible for the attack as both Russia and Ukraine possess incendiary weapons.
Since Russia invaded Ukraine, it has focused on capturing the Donetsk and Luhansk provinces that make up the Donbas region, where pro-Moscow separatists have claimed independence.
Now, in the midst of the ongoing war in Eastern Europe, a video has surfaced online showing termite munitions falling from the sky in Donetsk.

Shared on Twitter, the clip shows streaks of white lighting up the night sky as they fell across the region. “There are a number of videos showing what appears to be incendiary munitions being used in Donetsk tonight,” wrote Rob Lee, a Russian defense policy strategist at the Department of War Studies at King’s College London, in the caption while I shared the video.

Incendiary weapons contain flammable materials that can set objects on fire or cause burns or respiratory injuries to people.
Fires produced by or ignited by the weapon itself are difficult to contain. Incendiary weapons are often described as “area weapons” since they can impact a wide region.
It is unclear who was responsible for the attack as both Russia and Ukraine possess incendiary weapons.

Meanwhile, the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February has killed thousands and displaced millions. The war entered its sixth month on Sunday, but there is still no sign of a cessation of fighting.

Over the weekend, a Ukrainian official announced that the Kherson region in the south of the country would be recaptured by Kyiv forces in September.
Russia, on the other hand, has announced plans to investigate war crimes it claims have been committed by Ukrainian forces. Moscow proposed a new international tribunal that would handle the investigation.
