Control of the fire began on Sunday morning. According to the Public Relations Officer (Defence) in Manipur, the operation is still on and more details are awaited.
What is the Cookie National Liberation Army?
According to the official website of the Indian Army, the origins of the Kuki insurgent groups lie in the Kuki community’s aspirations to defend itself from other extremist groups as well as the outcome of the Kuki Naga and Kuki-Zomi ethnic conflicts in 1997–98.

The groups are active in northeastern India and northwestern Myanmar.
