Stop fighting: Vladimir Putin tells Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin told Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in a phone call on Sunday that Russia would halt its military operation only when Ukraine stopped fighting and Moscow’s demands were met, the Kremlin said in a statement.
The Kremlin said in a statement that Putin said the operation was going according to plan and on time, and he expected Ukraine’s negotiators to take a more constructive approach in talks and take into account the reality on the ground.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday warned the West, saying Western sanctions were tantamount to a declaration of war. Moscow and Kyiv blamed each other for a failed armistice to enable civilians to evacuate two cities besieged by Russian forces.

In his televised address on Saturday night, Zelensky urged people in areas occupied by Russian troops to fight aggressively and fight. “We should go out and drive this evil out of our cities,” he said, according to ANI. “My faith in this has been strengthened by the energy of our resistance, our opposition,” said Ukraine’s president, vowing to rebuild his nation.
