Taliban vandalizes gurdwara in Kabul detains people
Meanwhile, the native Gurdwara management has reached the spot and the number of officials and people present around is yet to be confirmed.
Kabul: A group of unidentified heavily armed Taliban officials entered Gurdwara Karta Parwan in Kabul on Tuesday and ransacked the holy shrine and according to reports took a number of people into their custody.
Indian World Forum President Punit Singh Chandok stated, “I’ve received surprising reports from Kabul. A group of unidentified heavily armed Taliban officials have entered Gurdwara Karta Parwan in Kabul.”
Chandok stated, “They’ve taken the community present within the gurdwara into custody. It’s being alleged by the locals that the authorities have damaged the CCTV cameras of the gurdwara and are at present vandalizing the gurdwara.”
In the meantime, the native Gurdwara management has reached the spot and the number of officials and people present round is but to be confirmed.
The Karta Parwan Gurdwara is located in northwestern Kabul, Afghanistan.
Earlier, the Nishan Sahib – the Sikh holy flag was removed by the Taliban from the roof of a gurdwara in Afghanistan’s East Paktia province.

The Gurudwara, located within the Chamkni area of Paktia, was as soon as visited by Guru Nanak.
After the Taliban took over Afghanistan, minorities in Afghanistan have been subjected to targeted killings, violence and discrimination based on their religious and ethnic identities.
