The Mizoram minister said the MNF was “anointed by God” to face difficult times
Mizo National Front (MNF) senior advisor and Mizoram Deputy Chief Minister Tawanluia on Friday claimed that his party is different from others.
Addressing a meeting at the MNF office here, Tawanluia said the MNF belongs to the entire Mizo nation and is different from other political parties as it is a Mizo party. He said that the party founded by former Chief Minister Late Laldenga in 1961 is now completing 60 years of its existence.
“Together with the pioneers who started MNF for the protection and upliftment of Mizo tribes and fought for their freedom and dignity, we will try to strengthen the party,” he said.
He said the MNF did not care about party affiliation when it came to the interest of the Mizo people.
Party advisor and Excise Minister Dr. K. Nettle also claimed that the MNF party was “anointed by God” to face tough times and adversities.

“Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, several projects have been implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Zoramthanga and other leaders,” he said.
During the ceremony, Tawanluia inducted at least nine new members into the party.
