Tomar inaugurated the bee keeping conference in Nagaland
Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurated the Kisan Bhavan and Beekeeping Conference at the Central Institute of Horticulture in Nagaland.
Tomar said in his discussion that changing the lives of small and medium farmers is a major goal of the central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Speaking on the occasion organized under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, Tomar said that the climate of the North-East region is favorable for agriculture. The region is ideal for horticultural crops, especially fruits and vegetables, flowers and spices.
Keeping in view the interests of small and marginal farmers in the north-eastern region in horticulture, the Central Horticulture Institute, Nagaland was established under the Central Sector Project of the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare and was established for development. He said the development of horticulture and farmers.
