The truck was reportedly being towed by another truck and the wire connecting the two slipped after breaking, causing damage to eight other vehicles parked in the area.
Itanagar: In a strange incident that took place in Arunachal Pradesh, a truck damaged 8 vehicles on the National Highway after falling over them.
The incident took place near Zero Point in Itanagar. According to the information, the truck broke down in the middle of the way and suddenly stopped moving. Another truck was called to move the truck forward. The second truck accelerated by pulling the first truck with the help of a rope. However, the string proved too weak to pull off the second strike. This caused the first collision to fall on vehicles parked in the area, causing them damage in the process.
The damaged vehicles include five Scooters, an autorickshaw, a Duster and a Scorpio. It is noteworthy that three scooties are now in unrepaired condition. Fortunately, no one was injured in the unusual chain of events.
The police were called immediately but the drivers fled the spot before any action could be taken against them.
Itanagar police station OC Fasang Simi said that the truck which was being pulled has its registration number. AS02 MC6C 5434 and was being towed with a rope by another truck.
“When both the trucks were moving ahead crossing the zero-point Tinali, the rope holding the other truck broke, causing damage to several vehicles on the way. The truck finally stopped near KFC,” he said.

He said the search was on for the truck owners and drivers as they would have to compensate the damaged vehicles as per Indian law.
