Two policemen killed in road accident in Sikkim
The accident took place near Akkar Bridge in Nayabazar when the driver lost control of the vehicle, the official said.
Gangtok: Two Sikkim Armed Police personnel were killed and three others injured when their car rammed into a roadside guard wall in West Sikkim, an official said.
He said the accident took place near Akkad Bridge in Nayabazar when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The car itself was going from Martam to Gangtok.
Assistant sub-inspectors Birbal Subba (51) and Jaiman Subba (36) died on the spot, while Phungpona Limbu, Phungsona Limbu and Sez Hungma Limbu were admitted to a hospital in Jorethang, and later to a hospital in Gangtok. Transferred to health facility.
The official said investigation is on to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
