Ukrainian army recaptured 20% of lost territory in Sievierodonetsk

The Ukrainian army has recaptured about 20% of the territory they lost in Sievierodonetsk since the Russian invasion, according to Ukrainian officials.

On Thursday, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that the Ukrainian army has achieved some recent successes in the region.

In a statement issued on the 100th day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Awad spoke of Ukrainian refugees, describing “the scale and speed of [their] migration unseen in history.”

Gaidai said that the Russian army attacked and advanced the Ukrainian position for hours, only to be driven out by uninjured defenders.

Since the invasion, Russian troops have surrounded the city in an attempt to capture it in order to achieve the stated goal of controlling the entire Luhansk region.

Prior to the Russian invasion earlier this year, Ukraine was a major exporter of wheat and sunflower oils.

Putin entertained Sall at his residence on the Black Sea in Sochi on Friday, which also marked the 100th day of Moscow’s military campaign in Ukraine. In addition to global food shortages, other issues discussed between the two leaders included the supply of grain stuck in Ukrainian ports.
